Kirkland, Wash—Seattle Study Club, Inc. an international network of dental professionals, announced today the appointment of Brian Bussey as chief executive officer.

His passion for clinical excellence, interdisciplinary care, and lifelong learning make him a perfect fit with Seattle Study Club,” said Dr Michael Cohen, founder and member of the board of directors. “We look forward to Brian’s leadership as we navigate the next stage of growth, foster greater member collaboration and engagement, and expand globally.”

Bussey brings a wealth of executive experience leading organizations through rapid growth, digital transformation, and implementing evidence-based practice. He joins Seattle Study Club from Akoya Capital Partners, a middle market private investment firm, where he was an operating partner focused on investments in education and healthcare markets. 

Previously, Bussey served as CEO of HCPro, a leading provider of healthcare compliance education, information and consulting services. At HCPro, he drove digital innovation in key markets and expanded its online continuing education offering. Prior to HCPro, Bussey was president of Mosby MCS, a unit of Reed Elsevier (now RELX Group), where he built a division that provided technology-enabled education and information services for hospital-based nurses. In addition to driving rapid organic growth, he led the successful acquisition and integration of multiple healthcare technology companies. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard University.
