9:15am - 4:15pm Fort McDowell Adventures & Lunch at Rosa’s Ranch

After the two morning presentations, we travel by motor coach to Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, about 45 minutes from the hotel. Set in the unspoiled Sonoran Desert on the east side of the Verde River, Fort McDowell Adventures offers several unique outdoor experiences. Participants will pre-select one of three adventures: (1) A horseback trail ride through the desert and across the Verde River; (2) An off-road biking adventure across the desert using mountain bikes; or (3) Driving on rugged trails in a Green Zebra Tomcar. Each adventure lasts 1.5–2 hours and will be followed by a casual lunch at Rosa’s Ranch, an outdoor venue on the property. We will return to the hotel mid-afternoon with plenty of time to rest and get ready for the evening’s festivities.

Please note if you select the Green Zebra Tomcar adventure: There will be two people in each Tomcar and they will switch places halfway through the trip so each person has an opportunity to drive for 1 hour. The Tomcar is like a cross between a dune buggy and a golf cart. It’s fun!

Of course, participants will be required to sign release documents before beginning any of the adventures. There is a 10-person minimum for each adventure.
